Something's Rotten In The State Of Denmark, They're Invading Bosnia!

I am officially going to call this a non-rumor, even though I haven't heard back from Ismeta. I'll eat my plastic flatware if I'm wrong, OK? Promise!

Narcis Vucina, a Sarajevo-born girl who lives part-time in Denmark and in Bosnia is one of the 19 performers in the Bosnian final of 2001, which will take place in Sarajevo on March 10th. Her song is, though, composed by Danes; the title is "Freedom" and it is in English. Narcis will be joined on stage by Coralie Loubet (Cora), a singer of Danish, French and Argentinian origins.

The demo for the song was also recorded and produced in Denmark. All this scoop was sent to me by the guy who worked on the production of the demo.

Thank God!

There will be a final after all! Good going, Bosnia! Yesterday (January 12), RTVBiH and SRT (which together make up PBS BiH, Bosnian member of EBU) looked at 81 submitted songs (excluded were those that didn't conform to the guidelines and rules). They came up with 19 songs, from all over Bosnia and some from abroad. The final is scheduled fro March 10th, 2001, just day before the EBU deadline. This all comes from Ismeta Dervoz, so quite credible information.

And Just As We All Thought They Were Asleep

My native country, Bosnia and Herzegovina has finally some news to offer us. RTVBiH have announced the deadline for submission of songs and that would be December 20th. Due to the transformation of RTVBiH now known as PBS BiH, which will consist of FTV (TV of Bosniac-Croatia federation) and SRT (Bosnian Serb TV), the folks in charge of ESC operations in Bosnia do not have any concrete information. According to Ismeta Dervoz, the head of ESC works in Bosnia, it all depends on how the two TV's work together, but most likely there will be a "TV show" (direct quote) with 10-15 songs.
