In 1997, the final was held on February 22nd. This time, there were 10 songs, as opposed to 8 songs in the 1994-1996 preselections. Once again, a panel of experts was to judge the songs and vote on them. Alma sang all 10 songs, after which came the voting and finally, the announcement of the winning song.
